225x50 16" LM22's???

Is this an odd size for winter tires or am I missing something? I thought the logical choices were 205/55 16" or 225/45 17"

Can someone explain this to me?

if you are going 16inch, go with 215/55/16

Thiner tires will work better in deep snow. But...

If you dont plan to drive in deep snow they might be just the thing. I went with 16" to put more sidewall between the rim and the potholes. I went with 225 50s because I wanted to keep as much of the dry road handleing as I could.
