235/40 better than stock tires?
Does anyone have these tires size? And is there any noticeable difference opposed to the stock tires?
And doest this tire fit in the luggage compartment?

Depends on what tire you get, i'm just saying that most 235x40x17 tires are designed for...
...that rim width range (8.0-8.5-9.5).
if you push the limits, you may have a larger sidewall than you want, or some fitment issues.
I would pick a tire you want, and find out what rim width they recommend and use that.
If you want to push it, use the upper/lower limits of the tire spec width range.
But i would never go out of the range.

For that tire the range is 8-9.5" rim width, i'd get 225x45 tires. But that's just me.
