Default Is that even possible? I'm just looking for a way back home now/to work

forgot to say: i assume that would be the accessory belt, so i would lose alternater ect.

If I find a ride back, I can pick up a spare car, tools and hopefully do it myself.

Or borrow a car for a while from my uncle till i figure something better out.

This is turning out almost as bad as turbos.

Default I wouldn't pu a $300 rebuild in my car unless I felt like doing it twice...

If you go rebuilt, get something from ZF directly. Plan on five or six bills in parts, at least.

Default True, indeed...

Sir,

I managed an Audi/VW repair facility for a year. In that time, we "re-repaired" five of the six racks that were non-ZF rebuilds, (as chosen by customers), and none of the several ZF rebuilds.

That's my experience.

so because you had a crappy supplier of non-zf rebuilds, that means that all non-zf racks are bad?..

Default Know of a source for a reliable rack? I found a shop I trust only 10 mi away.

The shop im going to checked pricing and said it looked like they would have to search online, so i just told them i would supply the parts.

I have just under 40k on the tie rods, im thinking i should change those aswell.

How much pentosin chf 11s will the flush and refill require? 2 liters?

Thanks for all the advice guys, you never dissapoint.
