Default Anyone with a WorldPac account can order a factory (ZF) rebuilt unit for about $600...
The part Number is 8D1 422 052LX. The ZF rebuilts carry a three year warranty. You can get one for less, but based on my real world experience, your chances of doing the job once are best taken with the factory rebuilds. The labor will eat you alive if you have to do this twice...

Default Mine failed in Myrtle Beach, drove home to Ohio and used only 1ltr of oil
It blew oil hard only on turns. Freeway driving was ok however. I replaced mine with a used unit and its still holding on.

Default Mikes right. Dont waste your time. Its a big messy job. Something about a reed velve not being
replaced when most rebuild shops take it in for service.
