The tech took out my K&N drop-in & put in a stock filter. During the drive home, I did notice that the whistling sound that would often emanate from the passenger side of the car under low boost was no longer present. As a result, I'm now thinking maybe the K&N is useless. It never really fit right from the get-go, even after I made sure that it was correctly sealed within the enclosure, I always had doubts about fitment.
So....my three questions:
1) Anyone with similar mods as me running stock filter?
2) Any thoughts on what else to consider without needing to spend $180-250 for an Evo-Intake or S-Flo setup?
3) Who was the member a couple of months ago who posted his homebrew kit on AW, but had to delete?
Suggestions would be much appreciated. TIA.
