All, as a few of you know I have a stg 3 tip with full EPL fuel kit and tune that put down some good WTQ's #s with more TQ that was held back due to not destroy the tip trans. Well after about 10K my trans started to give me issues, 4 to 5 clutches started to slip under boost and my diff seal failed out twice on me. So I decided to get a rebuild/upgrade done. I went with 517 trans in NJ. Sam the owner of the shop is very knowable of the working of the Audi trans and is one of the few out there as from what I have read on forms and word of mouth to actually do the rebuild/fix the right way. Also Sam offers a pick up and deliver shipping service with I ended up using. I got the car back this morning from my trusted shop that dose work for me that I don't have the shop space/skill to perform my self ( Fairfield County Motor Sport in Southern Ct, great shop that works hand in hand with EPL) and know that sometimes I am better off having a pro do it. The trans upon first drive was much stronger shifting than when it was stock with just a upgraded TQC and a GIAC chip. After the 350 mile break in is over with and I can put a few WOT runs on it I will update you all. Also I also am planning on doing the VAST TCU soft ware upgrade down the road. I would defiantly recommend 517 trans for people out there that has a slipping/failing tip trans that needs to be fixed.

Thanks for adding to the information pool not a lot of specifics are known regarding tip up grade options.
Can you give more specifics about what was upgraded? Valve body? Torque converter? Clutch packs? Revised stall speed?
If it is not to much to ask what are the costs associated with the work done.
