hmm, APR looks like it could use some more low RPM power in comparison

6th gear timed runs... I will make mine this weekend. What about the 2-4K RPM timed run?

Default Those are inaccurate APR numbers

We will test our R&D car to come up with accurate numbers. The ones you list are inaccurate for many reasons. I will try to get those done today.

Thanks

Default I could really care less about 30-50 in 6th gear -- that's only 1200-2000RPMs -- what's the point?

Even 50-70 is only from 2000-2800; granted, that is a much more usable and used range of the RPM band, but it may also be a good idea to do 40-60 runs in the various gears (e.g., 2d, 3d, & 4th) like the European magazines do.

Default 1500-5000 and 2000-4000 are a bit difficult because of the speed...

you obtain in 6th gear at 4000 rpm it's pushing a 100MPH. Please no one get a ticket or in an accident just to post some times.

The 30-50 and 50-70 are easier to do, not to mention more safe.

Drive at your own risk, but not at the expense of proving a point that your chip is better or faster.

Happy SAFE driving.

'Those are inaccurate APR numbers'says "YOU" But I think it needs to come from an independant source

Default It shows flexibility but...

I dont think a chipped S4 would be much faster than stock in those ranges. Besides, i dont think its healthy to even do such a thing to an engine.

Also, why base acceleration tests only on low rpm power? Some chip may have a weakness in that area, but may be superior in others. And that may be what a potential customer wants.

Sometimes numbers do not tell the whole story.
