Default 8" Sub setup

Has anyone attempted to put in 2 8 inch subs instead of the stock bose ones. I was looking to put 8 inchers with an amp. Will it work, and will it sound good? The tech article didn't really tell me much. Thanx

Default I'll assume you're talking about a Sedan... It would require a lot of work..

cutting up the rear package tray.

I guess you could theoretically put some 6" woofers in there, but I'm not sure how it'd sound.

Save your trouble, and just disconnect or remove those speakers and put a box in the trunk!

Default I made a custom box that was designed for JL Audio 8W0's

The box is slick, it mounts under the rear deck and also holds my amps. I can get you pics if you want.

Classic rock and pop sounds awesome, but if you listen to club or similar - you may wish you had 10s. I have it out right now and am half tempted to sell it and make one for 10s. I would say it is up to your music preference and how important saving your trunk is. A stereo guy told me that if you want good bass, you cannot have a trunk - period. I was determined to prove him wrong!

Default Didn't JL Audio make something like that for the A4?

I was trying to find one, but they don't sell it any more. If you decided to sell, what do you think you might want for it--with or without the speakers? Where are you located? THX...

Hmmm yea, im wanna just have the 8 inchers inside the cabin so that way nothing rattles and you can feel the base more. But everyone who has a sub setup do you have a different deck or are you using the bose one? If your using the bose is the base still pretty good?
