Bridgestone Potenza RE050A Pole Postition.
If you want bang for your buck, look to Sumitomo HTR Z II, Sumitomo HTR Z III, Kumho Ecsta SPT, or General Exclaim UHP. I'm personally a big fan of Sumi tires.
235/40/18 is the safe bet, but 245/35/18 tires from a manufacturer whose tires tend to be "skinny" may work also.

I now have Bridgestone Potenza RE050A Pole Postition and they are great as well, cant say i like one more than the other although the gsd3's had better traction in the rain and...the snow lol.

Tires were like hockey pucks, brakes locked and i started to gain speed not slow down! Luckily, there was a patch of road with no snow right after the stoplight so i was able to stop and get back home safely.
