I also went from the F1 D3s to the RE050A Pole Positions - 245/40/17. I love the Bridgestones best.

Taking it out in the snow on summer tires was retarded.

I had 235/40/18 GS-D3s and they rubbed a little on very hard cornering.

The only time it really rubbed was when I was taking freeway on ramps pretty fast and I hit a bump in the road that caused the suspension to compress. Even then it was very slight rubbing on the Vogtland GT coilovers. I didn't have rolled fenders and was at about 25.5" F/R.

that was the previous owner, Andy.

I saw those videos where he was tearing up the MN highways with ice/snow on the sides. These days there isnt much snow to be had in crappy central CA. How did the GYs perform in snow anyways?

I just bought Vredestein Ultrac Sessanta. I'm very impressed.

especially since I got them for $616 shipped. They are significantly quieter than the F1 GSD3's that I had before. The sidewalls aren't as stiff, but they still provide good feel. Overall dry traction is on par, and breakaway characteristics are progressive. Haven't tried it in the rain yet.

235/40/18, btw.
