about to change my oil, currently useing mobil 1 0w40, should i change for the summer?

Default i don't see a need to really, but if you see higher temps then it wouldn't hurt to use a
heavier weight.

I think the German Castrol 0w30 is pretty fantastic...

Default thats what i figured, would you say that if the temp exceeds 250 regulary i should go to a heavier
weight

i have only used mobil1 so i dont have nething to compare to, where do u live, whats ur summer like

I've run 0w40 for ~4 years now, all year around, without issue.

Default I don't really agree with this statement....
Many people say if the ambient temperature goes higher, then you should run a thicker oil, or rather... If ambient is lower, you should run a thinner oil.
