Adding S4 Badge to RS4 Grille for Dummies
After searching the archives, I decided to tackle the install of my S4 badge to the RS4 grille this afternoon. I used the LI-S4 technique with only slight tweaks, and it was pretty easy. These instructions are for the mechanically impaired, like me....
First, go to Home Depot or Lowes and get this stuff:

Then, you need to get the S4 badge off the S4 grill. Do that by popping off the metal clips with a flat head screwdriver.

Once the badge is off, you have to get the back as flat as possible. Use your dremel tool, your choice of attachment, and eye protection! Once the heavy cutting is done, I used 150 grit sandpaper to get it pretty flat and ready for the adhesive.

Once you have a nice flat surface on the back of the badge, mix the epoxy adhesive -- in this case 50/50. Choose your mixing tool wisely....

Once the adhesive is mixed up really well, apply a nice bead of it to the flat head bolt and attach the flat side to the back of the badge. Then, have a beer or two to allow the adhesive to form a bond. The package says 4 minutes, but that's not long enough to handle the next step.

Once you're convinced the bond has formed, attached the badge assembly you've crafted with a wing nut and washer. Don't go too tight, as you could break the bond and have to start over on that part again. Enjoy your new look! They say it adds about 30 HP!
