Last weekend I had a woman in a F150 open her door into mine, making contact on the door handle and leaving an area of paint knocked off. I need to fix this but I'm not sure how's the best way of doing it. I was thinking of picking up a bottle of touchup paint and carefully fixing the spot but I've heard horror stories so I wanted to ask people here for advise. How much would the dealer charge for a proper touch-up? About $100 I would guess but we're are only talking about 1/16 of an inch of area to repaint. Suggestions?

the factory kit has a small wire brush to feather the edges...perfectly matching paint and some clear that you can put on top.
DO NOT paint your door for one ding because it GUARANTEES someone smacking your door really hard just after you get the car back...it just seems to work out that way. Wait until you have a real problem before wasting your dollarz.

Nasa...I would agree with you but this chip is very noticable to me. If the repair is farily inexpensive I'll do it but I'm not spending more than $30 on the repair, not when some touch-up paint will do the trick.
