What's up guys, I'm hoping someone can help me out with this. I have an X-1 intake kit and when I was doing some routine maintenance I pulled the ITG filter off and it literally started to crumble apart in my hands like a piece of dried up chocolate cake. Now I want to go with the AEM Dryflow filter that VAST used to supply with their X-1 kits. I called them up but for some reason they can't give me a part number. Does anyone know which AEM filter I need? Thanks.

It seems the problem is caused by using the wrong cleaning products which cause the foam filter element to deteriorate rather quickly. I can't remember which cleaners specifically but over time, the foam breaks down to the point that it will crumble away and that means BIG trouble if sucked into the intake. Luckily that hasn't happened to me yet. (knock on wood)
