After shutting down the A6 2.7t the fan runs for quite a while...
I have heard it running up to 20-30 minutes after the car was shutdown...I have never had anything like this happen on my 1.8t
Just curious if this is normal or not..
It is being brought to the dealer anyway for the radio...So we can have them check it out then..Just wondering if it is a problem

There is no afterrun coolant pump for the A4...
That is why the fan is on the A6 when you turn off the car.
Where you driving the A6 particularly hard before you shut it down? I've only seen my S4 turn on the fan twice. Curious to find out if the A6 has their temperature set at a lower value.

No...the car only gets excercised when I drive..
this happens everyday to work (with my mother driving)
And even just a few mile drive to the store on local roads produces the same effect. :-(
