airbag light came on after lifting seat...
my airbag light just came on after i lifted my seat to get my cell phone that dropped under it. i don't have my owner's manual, but does anyone know if the airbag light is something i can clear with a vagcom, or do i need to bring it in to the dealer.

Depends on the fault. It most likely can be cleared, but should probably be checked.
I had an intermittent side airbag igniter fault. Cleared with vag-com and hasn't come back...knock on wood. If it's truly problamatic it will most likely come back, but seeing it's a safety issue it might be a good idea to get it checked out. Good luck.
