Default Alarm, door matrix, and interior light problem! :(

I can't arm my alarm system. The car locks but the alarm is never armed. I've brought it into the dealer three different times now and they still can't figure it out. They have even gone as far as temporarily removing all alarm components from an S4 on their lot and putting them in mine. Can you believe it, the alarm still wouldn't arm? They claim it has to be a wire somewhere. Anyone have any advice or experienced a similar problem? Help!

Something else weird: The door matrix that appears on the dash always shows the driver side door open in addition to what ever door is open. Meaning, if I open the passenger side (or either back door) it shows the driver side open too, even though the driver door is closed! However, when I shut all the doors the matrix goes away as it should. WIERD!

Last thing tried: checked the door sensor; that seems to be fine. HELP!

Default seems like your door sensors are wired incorrectly.

i.e. driver's side sensor is wired to pass. door, or vice verca.

Default Nice sig.. and.. i have the same problem.. paul..

if the wires are reversed, as you say.. then the drivers door would not indicate that it was open with the other doors.. it would just be reversed... like.. when the drivers door is open, the CID would report the passenger one is open..

That is not what is happening...

Imagne that ONLY the rear pass side door is open.. BUT this is what the CID shows:

Thanks for the offer but SoCal is pretty far away from me (midWest). Can you give any advice remotely?

Yes! I've finally found someone with the same problem! We should work together on this: if you gather any useful info then pass it my way. I will do that same for you. huw_la@yahoo.com
