Default Only four cars *require* computer input after brake bleed...

According to Sport Auto's article on advanced braking, only these cars require computer inputs after a brake bleed (these are cars where the computer takes a whole volume reading and then compares it to "fluid volume moved" at various pedal angles, a function the S4 ECU does not execute)... other manufacturers' recommendations to use an ECU data-acquisition tool are apparently simply to check for faults and are done to check for fault flags and (at dealerships) to have the ECU check on the work order to insulate the dealership from liability.

Cars requiring computer input after bleed:

Ferrari F355 GTS F1, Spyder F1 and Berlinetta F1
Lotus Elise Sport 190 R
Aston Martin DB7 Vantage and Vantage Volante
Jaguar XKR

actually from what i read it had more to do with opening up the ABS valves. I could be wrong though.

Default I'll measure the washer, and get the info to him.

All my work was empirical, I measured only with the washers, finding an identical pair that matched the piston height (other side was flush), so I could use one to split the difference and center the rotor.

Unless you're filling with silicone brake fluid, this isn't necessary.
