To align the clutch do you have to use a clutch alignment tool?

Default I didn't use one the last two times

You can stick something in there to get a very good idea if it's centered, or just eyeball it by looking into the hole of the clutch disk before you tighten the pressure plate bolts.

Default but if you want to just to make sure(since i don't do clucthes very often) can i use a generic one?

from autozone?

Default hehe.. if it's not aligned you'll never get the tranny connected:)

The rs4 clutch worked great but I upgraded to the vast hybrid before going for epl custom tuning, just in case.

Default I doubt all input shafts are the same diameter

if it doesn't fit tightly into the clutch disk and needle bearings in the flywheel you might as well just eyeball it.

The multi-size metric one from Pep Boys (Lisle brand) is pretty good, but ya just eyeball it.
