Default This is for all the noobs who think their turbos are blown or on the way out.

You don't think your turbos are blown, you'll know when they are. It's a feeling and sound that you just cannot compare to anything else. Your turbos screem like your girlfriend, that has PMS and it's the day after she found out you cheated on her with her sister. Sometimes it's accommpanied with the Spy Hunter white smoke screen coming out of your exhaust.

In any case, if you "think" your turbos are blown, their not. Just keep driving!

Default Well, I figured blown could be partially damaged or totally fvucked.

Either way, you gotta take em out and put something else back in. And that's where all the $$$$ and time goes.

"Blown" is a loose term. Mine "blew" without any smoke. Louder than hell and no boost.

Default Thanks! That's good to know....

When I first got my S4 I never heard the turbo's at all. The sound is a lot subtler than the turbo cars I drove in the 80's, Thunderbird TurboCoupe and Merkur XR4ti.

So after a few months I finally started hearing their whine, I'm still not sure if it's in increase in my observational abilities, or if it's the turbos getting a little worse. And with all the Turbo Lady posts I started pricing out my K04 conversion, lol.

This pose makes me feel that I'm going to be able to convert to KO4's on my schedule, not based on the Turbo Lady's visit

Thanks,
Abdul

Some smoke is probably something else. Maybe a leaky gasket.
