Default All sedan owners who carry a laptop in the trunk - Check this out....

OK - I drive pretty hard and when I have stuff in the trunk, it does clunk about - especially my laptop.

I think I've found a great solution to this and other luggage nightmares, source from the Audi's VW brethren...

Here is a part found in the trunk of the MK5 VW Jetta - secures to the underside of the trunk with two screws and seems to hold 60lbs no problem.

Spring loaded, it folds flat up against the top of the trunk out of the way when not in use.

No clunking and no matter how hard I turn a corner, my laptop et al is exactly where I left it when I pull over and pop the trunk...

Part number is 6Y5 867 615 B41

Expect to pay around $14...

Those are standard option installed in all VWs. Cool little accessory hook.

With that said, I always put my laptop bag in the driver-side back seat floor board.

That'd probably fit pretty snugly in the base of a dead hookers skull

Aah. Didn't know that. I been selling VWs since 2006. One of the 120 standard features on a VW. :-)
