With all this talk about dynos and different this and that -
WHY isn't there 1 standard dyno result? like how we take 250hp to be standard stock.
Why don't tuners use the same dyno like the one that Audi uses......

i would imagine Audi uses just engine dyno's...
...to get there engine HP/TQ numbers. Not really sure how many different brands there are, but I'm sure they all vary just a bit, and I'm sure there is more than one.
Although I guess they probably own a chassis dyno, but they probably use it for other things, and not so much to just get engine power ratings at the wheel. They probably use it more to figure in driveline losses, and they can probably mess around with the "traction" at each end of the chassis dyno to simulate varying Front / Rear traction conditions and see how a given car distributes torque (in Quattro equipped vehicles).
Then again, who knows, I'm just speculating...
