Default Alright, I cant get the ECUx to work for the life of me.... Here is my setup, jprice please chime in

Toshiba Tablet PC w/ Windows XP Pro
Keyspan Serial>USB Adapter
Ross-Tech Key-Com Serial Cable
Lemmi
Vag-Com
APR ECUx

So the Lemmi works, the Vag-Com works, but the ECUx will not connect at all. Not to check DTCs or to Log. I have tried installing the newest version of vag, then uninstalled it and used Vag-Com 5041 and it still did not work (ECUx) but Vag-Com worked with both the new version and the older version as did lemmi.

How do I get my ECUx to work? I have it setup on COM2 for both Lemmi and Vag, but when I go into settings for ECUx and change it to "Standard" and "COM2" and lower the BAUD, nothing happens, it keeps saying error messages. I have also tried about every single combonation in Settings in ECUx and that has not worked. What do I do next?

I also tried a generic Serial-OBDII cable (no name brand) with the setup for fun and it did not work. Is the Key-Com Serial Cable from Ross-Tech (Brand New) compatible with Ecux? THANKS!

Default It's the driver, not so much about the Vag 512-4, you need older vagcom driver instead of the

Keyspan driver! I tried to call you eariler to walk you through but you didnt pick up!

and in fact i have both Vagcom 409 and 512-4 on older vagcom driver, all 4 works on 2 usb ports
Vag com 409, 512-4 and ECUX on port 1, Lemmi on port 2

Default Ryan, I have almost the same setup as you and

it works just fine with all three, I am using the vag com twin com cable coupled to a Keyspan USB adapter connected into one of my usb ports. Since My toshiba didn;t come with a serial port. I have heard other have had issues with serial connection to all three, for some reason ECUx sometimes gets flakey when using the same serial port for all three, vag-com/lemmi/ecux.
Try using a Keyspan serial to USB adpater, works great for me. vag-com defaults to port 2, lemmi defaults to port one but you can change that, same with ECUx. Best advice I have for ya, sorry it might cost you a little more money but it works for me.

you are not running the Keyspan driver right? you are on older vag com driver to make it work right?

Default pretty sure I am using the keyspan driver. Also make sure that

you save the ecux properties files ( Excel file ) somehwere else, in a different file on your desktop. I had a bitch of a time getting ecux to work at all until I discovered that the properties files was located in the same folder as my ecux program, not good. Once I moved the properties files outside the ecux program file and did the proper association within ecux it worked great. Don;t ask me why but it does. good luck.
