Default AMS PowerProm special, free aFe air filter.

Hey all,
AMS is offering a free aFe air filter when you purchase our PowerProm ECU upgrade. The AMS/Abt engine management system produces about 310bhp and 370lb/ft (93+ octane recommended) with an extremely linear power curve.

The ECU upgrade is $685 and we'll give you a free aFe filter. If you live in California, you get free shipping and you are local, we'll install it for free. Out of state guys will have to ship their ECU to us, we upgrade it and send it back. If you have any questions, feel free to give me a call.

The aFe filter has proven gains on an R32 of 4 hp and 5 lb/ft over the stock filter. See this link.

Default It was tough enough to talk the boss in to dynoing the R32...

just to gauge the effect of an air filter.

Default I have an AMS M-box and was wondering the same thing (re: updates)

I have the ECM out of the car right now, while it's in for service, and thought if there was an update maybe I could send it out for flashing (or whatever).

Also ... does Marc want those Flash ads I've had in waiting for like a year now? We can't seem to connect, and I hate to see them go to waste. :-/

Default Calling me directly is the best way to get answers...

as I'm not always watching the Audiworld. Marc said there's only been one update to the m-box in the past year to correct the ESP from lighting up. Again, though we can help you better if you call me.

Default Thanks Steve ...

No pent up curiousity or anything, just wondered to myself when pulling the ECU over the weekend if there might be a reason to send it off for upgrades ... should any exist.

I've not had any problems with the ESP light coming on, but I also don't know how old my box is since I got it used through Josh @ Achtuning. So if it's *really* old (early run M-box or something), then maybe it could be refreshed.

I'll ring the shop when I get a chance.
