AMS says EGT 2 fault code due to bad O2 sensor??
I've been getting EGT sensor 2 fault codes (short to ground) putting my AMS/Abt chipped S4 into limp mode. Car runs just fine with stock chip.
Called AMS twice and one guy told me to replace the EGT sensor (even though stock chip has no probs. with it) while the other guy claims it means I have a bad O2 sensor. Any merit to these theories?

Jason - sorry to hear about the news with your car since you put in the AMS/ABT M-box...
FWIW, I never ran across these fault codes when I had the ECU. How many miles do you have on your car? -- HN --

Tonight I actually got the stock ECU to push the EGT fault code
So it looks like it should be covered under warranty. AMS says they've seen this several times b/4 and its been cured with a replacement EGT (and sometimes 02) sensor. Don't worry about it, its clearly not your fault, just bad luck =( BTW, its Ian, not Jason.

Sorry for the mixup Ian. Great to hear that you figured it out. I miss having the chipped ECU...
and would have bought it back from you if you didn't want it anymore!
