Any disadvantage to 355 vs. 332 BBKs (other than having to run 18" + all the time)?...

Default Wouldn't the stock bias be determined with a stock suspension? I'd think

the suspension has a role in determining weight transfer. And since people are using all sorts of aftermarket suspensions, those numbers might be helpful for a relative comparison, but would be meaningless as far as the absolute value is concerned. Secondly, why would you necessarily want the stock bias, typically passenger vehicles are tuned with an eye on being conservative and safe, not performance oriented.

Requires less energy to slow the rotor.

Care to explain how that happens?

Default Bigger rotor, caliper pushed out from center more. Outer edge moves slower.....

More leverage. Actually now that I re read the post he was asking about disadvantages of a 355. So in that case the only disadvantage would be wheel clearance and maybe a little weight....maybe.

Default I was asking because unless the

laws of physics have somehow been altered, the amount of energy that needs to be dissipated by the brakes when slowing the car is the same regardless of the size and configuration of the brakes. I thought maybe I was misunderstanding what you were saying, but apparently not.

Default Yes, I see that a lot here run the 332's. I most likely won't track the car so the 355's are ...

probably overkill. I just wanted to see if anyone had any real disadvantage to the larger disks (weight, rotating mass, etc.) I also wanted to see what rear combination would be recomended (Stasis, S8, ECS, or none).

They do look nice- not alcon nice, but much better than stock. I am also sure that they have tp perform much better. Stock has been very disappointing.

They came in Red but Stoptech is very cool and they are swapping them out for balck for no charge. Great people to do business with.

Thanks-

Dan

Tangential speed is slower. You know what I mean.

Default If you have the means and the wheels, Go 355 every time....

Unless you have a formula to meet. None of the actual kits marketed for this car are going to screw with your bias so much that it's going to make things all crazy. I really don't know why everyone is so paranoid about it. I've never heard anyone around here complain that brake bias caused them to have an OTE or lose control.

Default Now I'm more confused about what you're saying. Tangential speed

increases with an increase in radius, so at a point on the edge of the rotor, the tangential speed will be greater for a larger radius rotor.
