Default any engineers here! anyone use Cad programs, or have them personaly.

was thinking of forming a small group of engineering minded people to help design parts. If they ever made it to production, those involved would split the investment costs, and split the profits.

I have manufacturing abilities.
and others may have them too.

Default yea, I use 2D autocad

We use 2D autocad at work for vent and piping. I'm no expert since 75%+ of the CAD work is contracted out.

Default I'm interested.

I have SolidWorks and can produce 3D models and drawings, although it's been a while since I've actually created any drawings myself. I'd be more than happy to design and draw up some parts. The hardest part will be determining all of the interface requirements since we don't have drawings of the original or mating parts. That and finding the time to do it.

Default BSME Supplier Quality Eng for car company...

Had some exposure to Pro E in school, but I'm not a designer. I do have a lot of manufacturing experience. What do you want to build?
