Any recommendations for new amp/speakers

I've got like 3 blown speakers now, and am looking at replacing the lot and throwing in an amp. I did some reading, and it seems that the S4 has line level outputs in the trunk that can be fed directly into an amp. I want to use the existing wiring and swap out the speakers. I havn't decided about the rear non-deck speakers - if they should be replaced or not -- i dont notice them much.
in any case, does anyone have a suggestion for a good amp, good speakers, and might have any idea what sized speakers I should get? My budget is around $500-$700ish for parts (amp + 2 sets of speakers), if possible.
thanks,

gone wil Alpine V12 amps and had 2 in my old car (still have them, just no installed), and I have 3 in my boat with absolutely no problems. They have alot of good features such as cutting the power if they get too hot, but still keeps your music playing, etc. etc.

MB Quart used to manufacture an adapter to fit 5.25" speakers in the front door, you may find some on ebay. A good stereo shop can make some or you can make your own, if you want to go to a larger speaker.
You should go to a shop and listen to various types of speakers with music you know. Some good brands to check out are Boston Acoustics, Alpine, JL Audio (may exceed your budget with amp), etc. You'll find almost any aftermarket speaker will outperform the factory ones, but do not skimp on the speakers.
Decent amps are eclipse, alpine, jl audio e series, and others. Again, listen to the various brands with music you know.
With your budget, it may be difficult to find two sets of speakers and a quality four channel amp. You should buy the best speakers you can afford for the fronts, a good 4 channel amp, and then add the rear speakers later. Or just forget about the rears and buy the front speakers and a good 2 channel amp.
