Default Any suggestions/input on how to get a K03 tip into the 12's?

I was thinking something like this...

Piggie Pipes
No exhaust
P&P Intake Manifold/TB
GIAC X Chip with lemmi timing & fuel tweaks for higher octane
Vast MBC & TCD
AWE intercoolers
710N's
AMS TBB
Kosei K1 TS wheels
Lightweight battery

I have most of these parts already so it won't be an expensive project to try out.

Any suggestions or input would be helpful.

Default Driving and a well running car is what's really going to do it.

I've seen 12's on just GIAC chip and milltek cat-back. And that was probobly on one of the first versions of the code.

Default No exhaust... man, that's a surprise ;)

Hey Marc,

Good plan: That should work. MBC that bish, have a hearty spike that doesn't wig-out the tip and keep the taper below 15 or so up-top so you don't instasplode.

12's with a tip of any type would be an accomplishment, worthy of NAATO support

Default I really don't see it being too difficult to do even with the tip...

I'm more or less going to have the same mods as bertworks. He ran 12.28 with K03s and a 6spd. Even after allowing for a 7 tenths difference for having the tip, that still puts me at a 12.98.

Default Indeed, I think it's possible... and a worthy cause.

Honestly, the tip could be killer for drag-cars once all the niggles are sorted out.... think AWD GN

Default I was gonna go with 18-19psi of boost. Too much you think?

I'm not too worried about the K03s blowing. If they blow, they blow.

I'd put an exhaust on it, but I'm trying to run 12's for as little money as possible. What else is new, right?

Default Yeah, but the tip has a lot of problems that would need rectifying...

It really needs a higher stall converter, but that's a lot of $$$. Then if you go too high on the stall, people say the TCU freaks out and puts the car into limp mode. So then you'd need to get somebody to custom tune the TCU.

Then you have the crappy gearing of the tip tranny. It would be awesome if you could swap in the 4.11 final drive from the 6spd. Then the tip would have a very nice close ratio gearset. Could that even be done? You'd have to swap the 4.11 in the rear end and inside the tranny right?

Quick Reply: Any suggestions/input on how to get a K03 tip into the 12's?
