Any thoughts on GIAC chip that is befor the X chip

Thinking of buying ecu with GIAC chip from 2001. wanted to know if this was a good idea or is the chip way out of date. Also wanted to know if it was tunable like the X chip. If any of you have it I could use a peace of mind.

You could probably get it and simply upgrade to the current version for a nominal fee.

Check with AWE first, though.

The S chip was good. 1.0bar

THe X-chip is more aggressive. See if you like the old version, if not then like OW Kenobi said, you may get it upgraded for a small fee.
