Default Just changed mine at 77k, everything looked great. I'd wait another 20k.

But that's just me, and in a mild climate.

Default The belt normally loks fine, it is the teeth the show the wear. Were they rounded? or

slightly smaller than on the new belt. I replaced mine at ~75K and there was noticeable wear on the teeth. The belt itself looked fine.

Default at 6 years and 90k KM's (so 55k miles?), my timing belt jumped. Don't know the cause..

I was very lucky.

Default Change timing belt after 5 years or milage...

I just had my 2001 S4 for service and there they said the timing belt should be changed after 5 years (or the specific milage). Mine has gone about 105k KM but I will do the change now. This was in Norway but I guess that doesn't matter much.
