Any of you ever had an odometer discrepancy on a used car?
'm looking at buying a used 99 Jetta for my daughter and found one in really good shape with 53,000 miles.Problem is Carfax shows mileage was 200 miles in 3/99 and then 74,000 miles in 7/2000? Seems unlikely to be accurate to me, the car seems too straight to have had that many miles on it 3 yrs ago. So how do I go about verifying mileage. Dealer records? Can I found out where it was bought and serviced? How? Thanks
