If so, any tips on where to go for flooring? My new garage is now complete (pending electrical inspection), so it's now time to consider the interior.

Turned out pretty nice. The baskets, racks, etc that work with slatwall are pretty cool since they are used in store displays. I got the helmet holders, shoe racks etc. Going to do this with my current place this winter & will have the floor painted in the spring. New house garage is 26' x 34'.

Prep work is the key to getting a good finish that won't peel.

Check with a local company that sells display material. The racks & baskets are $5 to $20 each depending on size/color etc. Generally they have white, black or chrome. Hooks are $1-5. I was into the garage about $600-700 IIRC.

Though when painting it, make sure you do the cracks at the same time or you will have a slight discolor (not as shiny). All paint, mudding, etc. was done by myself.

About 2 years ago, I used the one coat Rustoleum epoxy product. It has held up great, but is dangerously slippery when oily or snowy. I think it is more slippery than ice under when oiled or snow, which commonly occurs in a garage. The garage is a 3.5 car garage, and it took 3 1 gallon/kits. Everybody likes how it turns out. My picture poster does not do it justice; it looks very good in person.
Two months ago, I did the two-car garage attached to the house with U-Coat It epoxy covering (http://www.ucoatit.com/). This took two coats of epoxy, followed by a clear coat. The cost was about $500 bucks, but this included the degreaser and filler/leveler. I think it will be much less slippery, as I put down sand between the first and second coats. It looks fantastic, and is much better than the rustoleum. However, this cost about 3 times per square foot as the Rustoleum product I got from Home Depot.
I did try to get the Sherwin Williams product, but the dealer I went to said they would only allow a professionally trained installer to put it down, and would not sell it to a do-it-yourselfer.
