Anybody else with a 2002 been denied scheduled service?
Called the dealer today to schedule the first service on my car as outlined in my 2002 maintenance booklet. First service is listed at 5,000 miles or 6 months.
I was told Audi will not pay for the 5,000 mile service... something about it being a typo. Only service at 10, 20, 30 etc.

Excuse me? What the hell is up with that?? It's friggin' PRINTED in my maintenance guide and the Audi Advantage policy reads that they pay for scheduled service as outlined in the maintenance guide.
This is utter BS!

I plan to call Audi about it on Tuesday and investigate but I wanna know if anyone else has had their 5k service covered. Grrrrrr.

Now, you know that would have been covered by Advantage if Steve was still there...
...you're going to use your own oil anyway, right? A few minutes of your time (probably less than your timy you're inconvenienced by dropping it off at the dealer) and the cost of an oil filter.

Texas Deceptive Trade Practices Act...
...denial of warranty is an actionable claim under it. Mention it and that you'll write the demand letter required of it if necessary. A unilateral mistake in a contract document (like a warranty) is not an excuse to relieve performance by a party unless the other party (you) knew they had made a mistake at the time you entered into the contract (bought your car). They have no ground to stand on whatsoever.
