Default If after you send the required demand letter and they don't act on it in 60 days...

...then you're entitled to up to triple the amount of your damages in a lawsuit and attorneys' fees. The demand letter has to be fairly specific about certain things regarding your claim, etc. per the statute. Of course this means filing a lawsuit, waiting 60 days before you can file it, etc. But usually just sending the letter gets things taken care of, since if the consumer prevails, it costs the consumer nothing, they get their attorneys' fees paid, they get whatever it is they're entitled and twice that sum as a bonus to penalize the business for being a jerk with its business practices.

Default Didn't even try with my 2002 as I was expecting this, but I think it's utter BS 10K between changes

And if we don't and the car /turbo dies, Audi is going to have to pay for it.. Doesn't make any sense @ all

Default I let the dealer have it. They ultimately did it and ate the cost. Here's my original post from

back in Feb.<ul><li><a href="https://forums.audiworld.com/s4/msgs/689239.phtml">My one and only case of AOA bashing</a></li></ul>

Default See my link. Audi changed the interval on 2002's after some had been delivered. I actually have a

memo that says for them to destroy the original manuals in cars on the lot and in transit, and to ask owners of cars that had been delivered to exchange manuals. YEAH RIGHT!! FAT CHANCE I'm going to surrender a warranty booklet that says I get something, for another book that says I don't. That's why there is a discrepancy, depends on when you purchased your car.

Default Yeah, well they can change it for cars that haven't been delivered. I have no problem with that...

but as I indicate above, I think it's LOW DOWN SLEEZY UNSCRUPULOUS BEHAVIOR to try and stiff consumers who purchased a product with one warranty and try and replace it with another. Now, whoever originally told me the warranty and the service interval have nothing to do with each other, my personal attorney (okay wife also) told me that there is no implied warranty for service intervals. IT'S EXPRESSED. It specifically says service is included at 5k. They can't do this, but apparently no one has challenged them. I made my dealer pay for it by telling him I'd make a big stink with AOA and tell them I'm leaving the mark for BMWs if they didn't pay (I've given them alot of business between myself and friends). They folded.

I just scheduled my 5k for Wednesday and asked if it was free, service guy said, "yes". We'll see.

Default My dealer was cool - they ate the cost. They are the ones getting hosed by AoA.

My maint book is one with the 5K service included. As I said the dealer did it even though AoA won't reimburse them. But if they hadn't, I would have been on the phone with AoA instantly telling them the next call would be to the state Attorney General's office. Here in MN he just loves things like that.

Sure it's a small item, but what would be next?
