anybody experience/explain "drivetrain shudder" ?
I notice my car shudders on light to moderate throttle when accelerating from a stop. It seems to occur right after each shift and is most noticable in 1-2. There was an old thread byAndy Hedin & others talking about the quattro drive shaft squirming around when the torque of a chipped engine connects thru the clutch. I don't have a DTS. Ignoring possible chip issues for the moment can somebody tell me more about this thanks

I think I was referring more to a "thunk" that I could feel in the car...
...after some shifts. I noticed this quite a bit right after I purchased my S4 and I believe it is due to me not being used to the clutch in the S4 compared to my A4 I had previously. I wouldn't call this "thunk" a shudder, so I think you may be experiencing something else.
