Anybody got a straight on shot of the front of the engine showing the water pump and thermostat.

Just curious to see what it looks like so I know what I'm looking for this weekend. Gotta look for a coolant leak and the suspects are the water pump and the thermostat housing.

I'm reading a lot about M-box/T-box cars having plastic t-stat housings and they should be replaced with the newer metal ones. If I had my t-belt, water pump and thermostat changed out, would it have come with a new t-stat housing or do you buy that separate?

aluminum housing then you need to get a coolant hose with it. Just call Avalon 303-400-3001 and they will get you what you need.

I'll still have my mechanic do the whole pump, timing belt job while he's in there since everything has to come out anyway. It's been about 45k miles since the last timing belt job and 20k miles since the water pump.
