Is it possible they didn't reset the self-adjusting mechanism on the pressure plate?

Default Then the clutch wouldn't fully engage, ours is not disengaging

Maybe they reset it too far?

How did this start? Gradually, or did you get a new clutch or plate? Did you run low on fluid?

Default The Clutch adjustment ring compensates for lining wear --->

---> by advancing the pressure plate further into the flywheel, while maintaining constant pedal position. If a new, thicker clutch plate is then installed without resetting the adjustment ring, the pedal would have to be depressed much further than normal to lift the pressure plate far enough to release the thicker new clutch plate. This would clearly be the installer's fault.

I'm with Corey. This is probably your and LCP's problem, although, before pulling the clutch, I'd make sure the clutch slave cylinder has no air in it.

Default After the new clutch was installed, the engagement point was a few inches off the floor...

...over about a month's time it worked its way back down to the floor where it is now.

Default Then your problem may be air and/or a bad clutch master cylinder. Any leaks? --->

BTW, air in the clutch hydraulics cannot be overcome by pumping like brakes.
