Default Anyone ever have their Tiptronics go on them?

What are the signs of a bad Tip? or a Tip going bad?

I sometimes get a kick when accelerating like when you get bumped from the back or like when you stall on a stick shift.

Default I live in NYC and drove to work everyday for the last 5 years in a stick shift!

I'm having problems with my left knee! That is why I went with a Tip, but I got it chipped. Fast as hell. Should be illegal for cars to have so much power!

Gives me a high every time I drive it!

Default I had my TC go. Symptoms inside..

I always drive in tip mode, so not sure what the signs would have been in normal mode.

With the car in a selected gear (4th and 5th showed this the worse), the rpm difference between on power (not just WOT, but any amount) and off power was just under 1K rpms. It threw a DTC code, but did NOT trigger the check engine light. Also, sometimes the rpms would hold constant as the car accelerated (like a CVT or slipping a clutch).

STFA using my sig if you want the actual code. was about 1-2 months ago.

Default not quite sure what you mean by that considering

most volvo owners keep their cars past 10 years....

thats also a strange comment coming from any audi driver - as much as I love/loved my audi - it still was a POS as far as build quality goes.

The sad truth is the v70r is a better made car then my s4 ever was (not faster clearly) - handles better and is just way more comfortable to drive.

I wish I could say I miss my audi - i simply miss the acceleration - not the car itself

oh and i saw ;-)

just standing up for proud volvo owners everywhere - hahaha
