Anyone ever have their Tiptronics go on them?

If you have over 30k miles, have the trans fluid and the strainer (filter) changed.
The fluid is not "lifetime". That should help the situation considerably.
I spoke to a tech at my dealer and he cannot understand why Audi has the trans fluid as "lifetime", he has worked on some with as few as 35k and the customer is complaining about problems with shifting. He changes the fluid and the filter and that usually solves the problem.

Re: lol chipped tip s4 = fast as hell
Mine went 13.40 at 105.88. I didnt require ko4's, tip chip, rs4 components, or fancy sportec tuning either. What do new M3's run again. 13.6 at best with a perfect driver so I would say that tips can be pretty fast.

pretty fast does not = "fast as hell"
im not saying a tip s4 can't be quick - 13.4 isnt' 12.0 - which im still not saying is fast as hell either - though it was pretty fast

My car has been at the dealer 7weeks this past tuesday for my blown TC my car threw codes....
on tranny and a cel. I could actually hear my TC slipping anytime i startedusing some boost. It sounds very similiar to the turbos except is was a lower pitched whine. If you listen to you car enough you should be able to hear the difference. I have my codes saved on my comp at home i will post them later so you can see if you are having the same problems.

while cruising....
If I left off the gas, the rpms dropped ~1K. Then when I hit the gas again (any amount of throttle), the rpms jumped ~1K before the car accelerated. There was "slop" in the connection between the engine and the tranny.
Since it was acting weird, I used a VAG to scan the TCU. I found a Diagnostic Trouble Code, but the check engine light never lit up.
