Anyone ever pop the latch on there CF hood with out removing hood pins? Any damage to the hood?

Default Why don't you just say, "I F'd up my hood by being a dummy and opening it...

with out removing my pins". Of course it would hurt something.

Default I've done that before... didn't hurt anything.

If you setup your pins correctly they will be holding the load instead of the latch. So it really shouldn't be that big of a deal if you pop the latch with your pins locked; the latch-spring pressure isn't great enough to do any damage.

Now, if you want to be really brave, go run 120+ without your pins latched :P

Default On accident...

At Willow - couldn't figure out why the hood and dash were vibrating so violently :P

good thing I was just out for a warmup and not running it hard!
