Anyone ever pop the latch on there CF hood with out removing hood pins? Any damage to the hood?

Default Yeah all the time. The pins should be adjusted flush to the hood anyway...
That little bit of play will generate a huge amount of force if your latch ever did break with the pins being set higher.
