because there was not much space around me and I am 6' at 140 lbs. You might want to look into the Suzuka GT seats, you will fit in those easy.

I'm 5'11 - 150 lbs and barely fit in the SPG. The Pole Position is definitely larger, but it could still be a problem. Make sure you test-sit before you buy.
Please note that the owner before me installed these seats and he was a skinny guy. I don't know if Recaro makes SPG's in smaller sizes and if he installed one of those. If they come in only that one size I don't understand how they could sell more than a handful of them in America. THey are a tight fit!

Recaro says the width of your seat is 395mm which is 15.551in.. Now, the Pole Positions are 430mm.. I just want to check and make sure those dimensions are the inside dimensions.. Im also sitting in a chair that is 14.75" wide and I have no problem fitting in it..

THere is some room for error due to the padding.
The width of the seam where the seat bottom meets the seatback:
SPG = 12.5" PP = 12.5"
Width of seat where lap belts penetrate side bolster:
SPG = 13.5" PP = 14.5"
From there, the PP widens out more towards the front of the seat.
The width between side bolsters at the lap belt is probably the most critical. For me, that's where the ball joints of the femur are and there is no way leeway in that width.
I seriously recommend you sit in one before pulling the trigger on buying one. There are so many areas which could be a problem. The SPG forces your legs to stay together. You won't be able to splay your legs with the steering wheel low. It could also mess up your heel-toeing. So find a local dealer and make sure you're comfortable.
Good luck.
