Default Anyone ever unable to unlock their radio?

My local shop had to disconnect the battery and tried to enter in the radio code, but failed twice. So it was in SAFE mode for at least an hour. I had to leave the key in for an hour and then try again, per the manual's instrusctions. I entered the code in exactly the 1st time, blinked a few times, then remained in safe mode. I tried a second time thinking maybe I missed it. Same results. So either my cod eis wrong, which I doubt, or there is something wrong with my radio. Any help would be appreicated. Thanks.

AC

Default It's possible your radio was replaced at some point. Did you buy the car new or used? I had my....

radio changing stations by itself a long, long time ago. The dealer replaced the radio under warranty and gave me a new SAFE code, the code on my original card is obviously wrong.

Is it possible someone replaced the radio and you are unaware of it?

Default I did buy it used, but owner made no mention of new radio

but that doesn't mean it wasn't replaced.

Default You may want to check with the dealership where he had it serviced. It's possible that........

if he had any radio complaints while under warranty that it was simply replaced at a service visit and you'll need a new code.

Default Mine totally died one time... even the dealer could not unlock it...

This supposedly happens sometimes to these radios. They won't accept any codes.

Thankfully, warranty got me a new radio.
