Default Not sure what you mean...same APR chipped ECU for 3 yrs. No other changes to electronics.

I was surprised that the ProDiag referred to all "modules" as ECUs.

Default under the back seat cushion - if you pull the part where you sit out....

you'll see it just to the driver's side of center. It's about the same size as the ECU if you've ever seen one. Has a thick wiring harness connected to it - I think the harness holds ~58 wires, IIRC.

Default <crossing fingers even more>

So that's where it is. Now I'm suspecting that it might be my wiring even more now. I remove my back seat at least once a month for autox and track events, and that has to put a decent amount of stress on all the wires running around there.

Thanks again =)

Default Yep, could be it - get your hands on a Bentley....check voltages.....

and resistances between the particular pins in the wiring harness and you might find your problem.

Default I'm pretty sure the ABS control module is integral with the ABS pump......

I'm not immune to being wrong, but I think the control unit you're referring to under the back seat is for ESP? It also operates hand-in-hand with the ABS, so I could see where the relationship could be viewed to call it the ABS control module.

Drew, Chris, we'll get to the bottom of this..... ;-)

Default well, I think there are 2 different little boxes under the back seat....

one said ESP on it and I'm 99.9999% sure the other one was the ABS controller -

Bentley was giving me things to check in the wiring harness for what they were calling the ABS controller - the pins matched up and I was guided to my problem.....

I think we might be talking about 2 different things.

Default I'll do what I can to document the procedure on the two local cars ......

that I'll be having a hand in fixing. Or is there more in the area?
