Im really out of ideas on what i could use or make to keep water from getting in there. Im only worried about the center vent and when the car sits somewhere and rains to the point where it gets something wet. Making it only rev to 2000rpms like others have reported. Any ideas would be awesome TIA

you could have something that covered the top and bottom, using screws and wing-nylocks to tighten the two together on each side of the hood. cover the edges with rubber or plastic to protect the finish of the hood. Only thing I could think of.
Or buy a non-vented hood.
Or buy a non-vented hood.
