Default Anyone had a new Bosch 044 pump go bad after about a month?

Took my car to a good mechanic here, and they suspect its the fuel pump. Im not getting enough pressure he says. about 3 bar I think he says. Also the check valve is clearly not working.

Checked for leaks, kinks in the system, fuel filter (which is new) and thres no problems.. FPR is new....
INjectors only 2 months old, 60# siemens- bought new..,...
Pressure tested and theres no blocks in the lines either...

But the pump works..just not very strong, like I can drive it with the maf unplugged.... No vaccum or boost leaks on car either, checked that too he did....

wth could the bosch have partially died this fast? Im jsut not used to something partially dying..I mean it seems strange to me it would still work somewhat.

Anyone know anything about this. Guess well see if its really broken when I send it back.

Default hey thanks for finding that. Interesting, Guess Ill see when I pop her open, but my 044

didnt have any glue on her to attach her to the basket..unless its some like invisible glue or someting, but I doubt that since I took her out of her basket maybe a week after installing it to redo the hose clamp...and the pump was not stuck to the basket or anything

yeah definately no glue I know of on mine ever, but wow that picture is gnarly.

Default It's important to know that there are Chinese replica's of these pumps now....

They can be had for about $20 each, and obviously ARE NOT very reliable.

Default Seen a couple low-pressure issues with a leak at the crush washers on top of the pump.

Can be a PITA to track until you run the car with the top of the tank exposed so you can see the pump and if it's leaking.
