coolant? According to the packaging it is supposed to be compatible with extended life coolant, including red/orange antifreeze.
I'm contemplating trying this stuff because of the coolant leak issue a number of us are presently experiencing.
For those who aren't aware, several vehicles with the 2.7T engine are experiencing a slow coolant loss that has managed to confound several repair facilities. The coolant is ending up in the oil, which is unhealthy for the motor and other components.
It's common enough that Blackstone Labs, who do oil analysis, commented that they have recently seen several 2.7T motors with this problem. My car has been visually inspected by three different shops, had two coolant system compression tests, an engine compression check, and a new oil cooler installed. Coolant loss is still happening. The next steps are unpleasantly expensive, thus the reason I'm considering the drastic measure of pouring stop leak into my car.
If anyone is experiencing a slow coolant loss with no idea where it's going, I higher recommend getting an oil analysis done. You can also contact me at flyboy@myaudis4.com and I will keep you up to date on the progress being made by our group toward resolving the issue.
So far it seems the cars affected have somewhere between 45-80k miles, with the 50-60k range being the most common time for this to crop up.

Product Description

Never used the stuff in an Audi, mostly radiator & waterpump leaks in various other cars I've owned. I highly doubt that adding that to the coolant would be the kiss of death.
However, I just looked at the FAQ on their site & saw that they make a product specifically for what you suspect - http://www.barsproducts.com/faq.cfm#block

using this type product and having that result? I was hoping to get some feedback on real experiences with this type of product.
