and finished off with a dremel and various size bits .. to do it all with a dremel, I'd worry about the life of the dremel. it would take a great deal of time.

You really need a die grinder, either an air compressor one or a good eletric one. You want to work at about 10K RPM range with the grinder. Standard Abrasives makes a good kit with pretty much every grinder, sander, flap wheel that you will need for like 40 bucks.<ul><li><a href="http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?autofilter=1&part=SAI%2D260001& amp;N=700+115&autoview=sku">Click</a></li></ul>

The heated soft aluminum that comes off during grinding will fill the gaps in the surface of the stone and will prevent the air from cooling it as it spins. If the stone gets too hot it will explode and send pieces flying everywhere.

was fully aware of possible clogging and reducing grinding ability of the bit. However in reality stone wears nicely keeping AL from sticking to the bit. Use thiker gogles if you that paranoid...![Smile](https://www.audiworld.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
