Anyone have this happen to the rear view mirror?

I guessing it has something to do with the auto dim. As you can see there is a clear oval area that has appeared. The glass is not cracked or anything, in fact i never even touch the thing. It looks as its a gel or something in te mirror but obivously its not...

sounds like the time jokingly after driveing my moms Volvo that her muffler bearings were failing. about a week later I got a phone call asking why I would do that to her and how embarrased she was asking the service tech to check her muffler bearings....
as to your prob... it's prob just settling in the bottom of the case. it will pour out though.. so don't be suprised if you go out one day to see a puddle on your shifter surround.
you can either go with a stock one for ~$300+ iirc or the compass version for $480 (<a href="http://www.clairparts.com/accessories4.asp?product_id=1816&PDID=52830">clair parts compass mirror</a>
from the archives .... propylene carbonate with an acrylic polymer and electrochromic dyes (a viologen and phenazine) dissolved in it. Once these organic dyes are exposed to oxygen, they're shot. Time for a new mirror
